Baily Raabe & Associates' roots date back to 1983 as a division of Halliwell & Associates called Professional Risk Management Consultants. It was established to provide the Western Pennsylvania business community with an impartial consulting firm specializing in the risk management field. Risk management is a relatively new discipline which utilizes the application of a logical and systematic approach to uncertainty regarding fortuitous loss. It involves identifying, analyzing and evaluating the risks to which an organization is exposed and the development of the most advantageous method or methods of treating them.
The fundamental objective of the risk management process is the preservation of an organization's assets and earning streams from loss or destruction. Exposure to risk is controlled through application of various alternatives: financing, elimination, reduction, retention, transfer and avoidance.
Baily Raabe & Associates is an independent consulting firm specializing in property and liability risk management and insurance. We have been serving our clients’ needs for over 20 years. Our professional staff averages over 30 years experience in risk management and insurance and all have earned or are in the process of completing the prestigious Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. To assure objectivity for our clients, all work is performed on a fee-for-service basis. Baily Raabe & Associates does not sell any type of insurance nor do we have allegiances with any insurance broker or company.
